The Hoe
Plymouth's Historic Hoe

Plymouth's historic Hoe is the huge natural amphitheatre for many of the events in our festival.  Set on a high outcrop overlooking Plymouth Sound, it's certainly a spectacular setting from which to take in the sights and sounds.  Throughout the summer The Hoe will be the place to be for many of Plymouth's high profile free events.

As the start and finish point of the Plymouth Half Marathon, the hoe is the ideal place from which to support the thousands of runners taking up the challenge and running the 13 mile course around the city.

Ooohhh and aaahhh as the British Firework Championships return to Plymouth on 12th and 13th August.  The best pyrotechnicans in the UK will battle it out over two evenings to be crowned Firework Champion, in the process delivering some of the best free firework displays around.
