Getting to Plymouth

By Car Plymouth is superbly located for day visits from Cornwall (A38), the South Hams (A379) and Mid Devon (A386).  Plymouth is well served by three park and ride sites located off the A38 at Marsh Mills and off the A379 at Derriford and Milehouse.  Full details can be found at www.plymouth.gov.uk.

By Train The National Rail Enquiry Line (08457 484950).  For online train times and ticket reservations www.nationalrail.co.uk.  Trains serving Plymouth are Virgin and First Great Western.

By Coach National Express (08705 808080, www.nationalexpress.com).

By Air Air Southwest (0870 241 8202, www.airsouthwest.com) has flights from Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, Bristol and Jersey.

By Sea Brittany Ferries has regular services to Roscoff and Santander 08750 360360 or www.brittanyferries.com.  Torpoint Ferry operates a 24hr service from Cornwall 01752 361577 or www.torpointferry.org.  Local ferries also operate from Mount Batten, Cawsand and Mount Edgcumbe.
